Remember That Time When…..

10 11 2005

If you read this, if your eyes are passing over this right now, even if we don’t speak often, please post a comment with a memory of you and me. It can be anything you want, either good or bad. When you’re finished, post this little paragraph on your blog and be surprised (or mortified) about what people remember about you.

The best thing about this is many of you have never met me at all. So, make something up!!

I don’t have a blog, but, as your sister, I have the ability to reveal your deepest, darkest secrets to the masses! Oh, wait, you already do that. Hmmm…

Anyway, I remember how we used to spend our summers together floating the river in inner tubes. We’d wear our swimsuits and those horrible “jellies” sandals that were all the rage back in the 80’s. (It wasn’t an attempt to be fashionable — I guess Tevas and Chacos and Keens just weren’t around back then…) The fly fishermen would get so pissed when we’d float by laughing and splashing. Ironically, everytime we looked down into the crystal clear water around our tubes, we’d see tons of trout! (These were evidently the trout who enjoyed laughter and splashing rather than hooks and Orvis waders.)

So that, my dear sis, is just one of the many fond memories I have of you. It seems particularly poignant now that I’m where all the water is frozen and jellies sandals would freeze & shatter into a million pieces.

I remember that we were looking for jobs at the same time, found jobs at the same time, loved them and then hated them at the same time! 🙂

Oh…and you invited me to your house! You are too cool!

I remember the time I saw your blog for the first time. In fact, it was a day just like today.
